First of all, Happy New Year to all of you. 2018 was HUGE for Endeavor: Age of Sail, but 2019 is looking to be just as amazing. We have so much in store for you, including our first expansion slated for the fall of 2019. Keep your eyes open for this one. We'll be updating you in the coming months.

There is a lot in this update, so let's get right into it.
Replacement Parts
Some of you have been eagerly reading through the comments section on the campaign page so you already know that Marc is about 90% done fulfilling the replacement parts. If you have not received yours yet, they're coming.
Level 5 "No Payment" Icon Stickers
This week, I'll be sending out the first batch of stickers to those who have requested them. Once Marc has completed fulfilling replacement parts, he'll begin with sticker requests as well. We are both working on this, so it should go faster than replacements. If you have requested replacement tiles, you'll have to wait a bit longer. They are still being manufactured. We're not sure when they will make their way to us. But we'll keep you updated.

Ahoy Backers,
It has been some time since we last wrote to you. In that time so much has happened. Let's begin with all of the amazing news about Endeavor: Age of Sail.
Endeavor: Age of Sail on BGG
This game has been really moving up the rankings! Still with a solid 8.3 rating, and number 371 overall (yup, we moved into the top 400 over the weekend at PAX Unplugged)! We're really excited to see how far it will go.

Replacement Parts Progress
We're making it happen. One step at a time. Marc is working every day to send replacements out to you. I got my hands on an open box at PAX U, so I was able to get a bunch more out yesterday, as did Marc. At this point we are about 5/6 of the way there. If you haven't received anything yet, it means that it's in transit or we are still working on it. We thank you for your continued patience.

As you can see, you can barely tell that the icons are stickers.
We've created a survey for you to respond to. It will collect your email address (so that we can get in touch with you), your choice of stickers or tiles (we aren't sending you both), and your address. Some of you have kindly suggested that you would like to donate toward the fix, so we've created a donation button through PayPal. Not to worry if you don't have a PayPal account; you can pay by credit card as well. We thank you so much for this!
We had a wonderful time demoing Endeavor: Age of Sail with the fantastic Melissa Delp and Sara Meadows from Tantrum House! They each demoed the game many, many times over the weekend. It was that busy! If you've never been to PAX U, you should consider going. It was great fun!

What's Next
We're working on an expansion for Endeavor: Age of Sail. We've also got some other really awesome stuff up our sleeves. It will all become more clear in the new year. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open!
Also, Burnt Island Games has their next Kickstarter for In the Hall of the Mountain King coming to Kickstarter on February 5, 2019. Grand Gamers Guild is working on an amazing game called Endangered set to hit Kickstarter in April. Many more details to follow.

Endeavor: Age of Sail continues to climb the ranks to great heights! This image shows that since August, when the game started fulfilling, the game has risen 90.55% in the BGG rankings. Today, the game sits at #453 and continues to climb.

French Exploit Rules
Finally we've finished with the translation (sorry it took so long). Our graphic designer is working hard at getting the text into the rulebook format. While he is doing that, if any of you native French speakers would like to take a look at the translation and give us some feedback, we'd love to hear from you. Please find the link to the translation here. The rules should be up by tomorrow or Thursday. Thank you to all of our French speaking backers for your amazing patience!
Replacement Parts
This has been a very long and drawn out experience for us. We finally received replacement parts when we came home from Essen at the end of October. I opened several of my own games and sent out what I could from here in Canada. Marc, from Grand Gamers Guild, has been working every day to make sure that your replacements go out. Here is his latest comment on the campaign page:
Hey all, just a quick update to let you know that replacement parts fulfillment stands at approximately 60% complete. I awoke at around 3a and could not get back to sleep, so I've been banging on it for 3+ hours now today, and I'll keep going.
Just so you know, we exhausted our supply of player trays and are waiting for another shipment from our manufacturer. If your replacement parts request had player trays as a part of it, you are on hold until those arrive.
Any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Helaina and I are here to serve you until this is complete. :)

This being said, if you don't have your replacement parts yet, they are still coming. We haven't forgotten about you; promise!
"No Payment" Icon Tiles/Stickers
We maintain that if you know the rule that a building with a Payment symbol on it may not be the target of a Payment action, the no-payment icon isn't necessary on the tile. This is why the icon wasn't there in the original Endeavor. Several of you have written in to tell us that once you knew this rule, you didn't require replacements. So thank you so much for that. You are helping to save some trees in the process.
That being said, we are still willing to send them out to you. They won't be printed for some time (when the dust settles and we know how many we need to print). If you would still like them, please follow the instructions on Update #40.
You will also have the option to pick up the stickers at PAX Unplugged next week. If you are going to be there, you want the stickers as replacements, and you've already contacted us, please come by to pick the stickers up at booths 3056/3058.
PAX Unplugged
As we just mentioned, we'll be at PAX Unplugged next week. Please come visit us, tell us how you like the game, and maybe even sit down to play with us. We'll be across from the PAX U merch booth at booths 3056 and 3058. We'd love to say hi to our amazing backers.

Rulebook is excellent and got me what I needed to know and in a really good package. This game is elegant and awesome. And I can't wait to try the expansions. Maybe one of the best area control games I've played, and I'm not a huge fan of the genre.
The first edition is already great but this one just blew the first edition out of water. The production is much nicer the tray helps to keep components well organized.
