Ahoy Backers!
We're finally back to normal after having had an EPIC 4 days at Essen Spiel. More on that in a minute. Backers, you have moved Endeavor: Age of Sail all the way up to #583 on BGG. Thank you, thank you, thank you! If you haven't already, you really should rate the game on BGG!
Now, back to Essen: Marc, Angela, Josh, and I had a fantastic time speaking with some of you, and even getting to sit down and play Endeavor: Age of Sail with you. Nothing made us happier and more proud to have you tell us how thrilled you are with the game, and thank us for bringing this modern classic back. We are overflowing with gratitude.

Parts Replacements
Backers, when we got back from Essen this week, we came home to the parts sent to us by the manufacturer. This means that the time has finally come. We have begun packaging up your replacement parts and sending them out. Today Marc's dining room became an assembly line. Check it out...

It will take us a few days to get through it all, but we're getting it done. If you have recently contacted us, your replacement parts will go out later than the people who contacted us a month ago. We are trying our best to move it all out as soon as we can. Well, Marc is doing most of the work, to be fair.
As for the player mats, I'm sorry to say, they all have a slight curve to them. The replacements are much like the ones you have in your boxes. If you have decided to forgo having us send them to you, let us know.
Level 5 "No Payment" Icon Fixes
We are just about to make an announcement about them. We will have the sticker or tile option for you when we do. We are also going to have a "pay what you can" option, in the case that you want to help out with shipping. Stay tuned.

Was expecting good things from this game and am blown away by how great it is. My family have played a half dozen games in the couple weeks since it arrived and we love it more every time.
Loads of fun. Simple rules combined, quick turns, and lots of options to move forward results in a medium-weight Euro that can be played three times in a row without any difficulty. Lots of strategy to suss out.
A very interesting game with a lot of balanced design going on that makes it a highly intriguing game to play. A very straightforward Euro in some regards (acquire symbols to push up tracks to acquire other things, etc.) but I can't think of another game that does area control and set collection in quite the same way.

As most of you have now received your games, it's time to start celebrating what Endeavor: Age of Sail has accomplished, what we have accomplished, in a few short weeks.
Some Statistics For You
Endeavor: Age of Sail has been the Number 1 Geek Climber according to this post on BGG for some time now.

As of today, out of a database of 102,043 games, Endeavor: Age of Sail is ranked #877. The game has moved up 4 525 spots in 12 weeks!! Who knows where it will level off! Thanks for that tidbit of info, backer Michael!

Took my copy to our public game night in Spokane, WA. Once again I must really compliment you guys an such a well done rulebook. Played through once and we immediately decided to play a second time (a rarity in a group that has soooo many games to choose from). We loved the game. So well done. So smooth and fast. Played a 3 player game in about 45 minutes.
This Rocketed into my top 5 games, nestled comfortably next to Power Grid and Concordia. We decided to play again next week with exploits and the mini expansion.
I would play a couple more times tonight if I didn't have to work in the morning.
Great production quality and a super insert. I just wanted to give kudos for something I really appreciated: the sheet that explains the deluxe components and where to store them. This is especially helpful in a game where many of the standard components would be considered deluxe in other games! Thanks for your thoughtfulness in including this.
Backers, our manufacturer informed us that they sent out the replacements to us today (excluding the trays). It should take a week or two for the parts to get to Grand Gamers Guild in Michigan, USA. It's a good thing because we'll be travelling to Essen this week. When we arrive back home, we'll begin getting your replacements together and sending them to you. We will send out another update when this process has begun.
Some VERY Good News for the Trees
It is obvious by now there has been some issues with the paint on some of the Population discs. It's been so sad for us to hear that your tokens are splotched and splattered. Backer slp's solution for this issue is brilliant! Use a little nail polish remover on a Q-tip and the excess paint comes right off. Check it out ...

It's hard to believe, but look at how beautiful these are. If you decide to go this route and clean off your Population tokens with nail polish remover, and you are happy with the results, please let us know. We'll take you off of the list for replacements. AND you'll be saving so much wood. The trees will thank you! We will thank you!

Fulfillment Notices and Winding Down

Ahoy Backers!
So many of you have been sharing and posting your good news! On BGG, Endeavor: Age of Sail has risen thousands of spots over the last few weeks, to #1360. I know it's going to soar. Just how far will it go? We can't do it without you! Posting thoughts and commenting in forums, rating the game, and posting pictures, all help Endeavor: Age of Sail move up in the rankings. So, check it out on BGG!
Fulfillment
Europe/Middle East
HappyShops has completed sending out notifications. However there are still some of you who have not received your games. If you are a country that is close to Germany and has a pretty reliable postal system, your games should have arrived. There are a few that have been sent back to HS; they will be sent out to you again. If you have been in contact with us and we have already responded, we are looking into it and will get back to you when we hear from HS.
Asia
Your games have fulfilled from VFI. Some remain at their hubs in their countries so that they can be checked by customs. However, most of you should have your games by now.
AU/NZ
Most of your games have shipped through Aetherworks already. As we mentioned, there are two waves. Most of the games in the second wave are going to NZ. Please be patient while your games are heading to your address.
US/Mexico/South America
Quartermaster has completed their emailing. If you think you have not received an email from them about your games, please look in your "other" email folders. Often they are hanging out where you least expect them to. If you have not received an email yet, please contact us and we'll find out what is going on. Games are still shipping. If you have not received your game, don't panic. It is coming!
Canada
I am happy to report that simultaneously with Quartermaster shipping their games to backers in the US, Snakes and Lattes is shipping to backers in Canada. This is unheard of. I have never had this experience before. You can thank the amazing people at Quartermaster and Snakes and Lattes for coordinating this properly. Nice work! I can't wait to get my games.

Fantastic production values in the new edition add to what was already a great game. Tweaks to the rule are mostly streamlining and positive. Exploits and additional level 5 buildings add massive replay, which so far I have found very enjoyable.
[T]his game has the best insert I've ever seen come with a game. It's practically on the level of some of the aftermarket ones you can buy for other games. Basically everything has its own slot in the insert even those pieces that you have duplicates of because of the upgrade kit. And due to the modular nature of it setup and tear down is a breeze.

Some of you have had your games for what seems like forever (to me, at lest), while we sit here in North America, Australia, and New Zealand patiently waiting.
Well that wait is finally over. Let's take a look at what is happening in the world of shipping...
AU/NZ
Aetherworks has begun the shipping process. Some of you have received communication from them, while others have already received their games. Just a reminder that there are two waves of shipping for this region of the world. If you did not get your notice yet, it is coming.
Canada
Canadians, as of Monday, QM Logistics confirmed with me that your games were in Buffalo. I am unsure of their status today, but as promised, they went out first from QM. I can't wait to get my games!! How about you? What a question; of course you are!!
US/Mexico/South America
Quartermaster Logistics Tweeted this morning:
Product for Endeavor: Age of Sail by @burntislandgm has been fielded and the first batch of orders have been generated! More updates in the coming days!
It is true, your games are on the move. If you have not received an email yet, don't panic. They have over 4000 games to send out. This process is going to take some time. They wanted me to tell you that their main focus as of today is Endeavor: Age of Sail.
French Rules Are Up (sort of)
Backers who speak French, you can find the rules of the base game here. Oddly it has been taking some time to get through the Exploit rules. We will post them as soon as humanly possible and apologize for the time it has taken to get these to you.

"Can I just say, I've played over 1000 board games in my life, and after six games in 5 days, this new edition of endeavor is already at number 10 of my all-time favorites list. I'm really blown away by the replayability of both the random resource placement and the end-game exploits. There really is a switch mid-game as you start to focus on the end-game exploits. I really am a fan of zero luck tactical games, and there is a chance that this could dethrone "Lord of the Ice Garden" in the number one spot. I've placed once at three player count and five times at two players, and I have to say, I think I prefer this two player which again shocks me. High high high marks for how thematic and well-integrated the exploits are and for the high quality of the components."

AU
Your games are shipping. The good people at Aetherworks said that they have shipped 83 of 233 processed games. Yay!
NZ
As mentioned previously, VFI shipped your games later to Aetherworks. Your games are arriving at Aetherworks today, they tell me. Please allow for some time for the games to be processed and shipped to you.
EU
Your games have shipped. EU backers, if you have not received an email yet, please contact us. Some games are still shipping, so don't be alarmed if you have received an email but have not received your games yet.
Asia
Your games have all shipped. Some of you received a tracking number, some have not. Since some of your mail systems are slower than others, please don't be alarmed if you have not received your game yet.
Canada
Your games are at the QuarterMaster warehouse. They have confirmed that your games were processed first and will be sent out to Snakes & Lattes before they do anything else.
US/Mexico
Your games are at the QuarterMaster warehouse. They have two other games to ship out before Endeavor: Age of Sail, but are anticipating a quick turnaround with them. They are anticipating sending them out early next week.

For the last two weeks Endeavor: Age of Sail has been on the Hotness list on BGG. We've been moving between 6th, 7th, and 8th place for all of this time. Thank you for taking part in so many discussions and posting so many beautiful pictures.

Level 5 Building Tile Fixes
Last update we offered new tiles to those who want. Please email [email protected] if you want the tiles replaced. Again, keep in mind that this is a very minor issue, one that if you know the rule, isn't really even an issue.
We have added a link, on the EndeavorGame.com website (scroll all the way down), to a downloadable transparent-background "no-payment" symbol for those of you who have asked for it. This is what it looks like:
At some point we will be setting up a "pay what you can" for the tiles. We realize that some people don't want stickers, and some don't want the rulebook patch, so we'll send new tiles out to you. We also recognize that some of you will be happy to pay for some shipping, or at least share it with us. We appreciate that to no end. We'll update you when that system is set up.
