Endeavor: Age of Sail has been on the Hotness for several days now; it's been climbing up the charts.
Endeavor: Age of Sail has moved up several thousand spots on the BGG ranking over the last few days.
Currently, Endeavor: Age of Sail is rated 8.6 on BGG.

Shipping
EU/RoW
Last week, in Update #39, I mentioned that HappyShops was almost done fulfillment. We were told that they were half way through after only two days of shipping games. To me, this meant that it was only going to take another 2-3 days to get the rest of your games out there.
Today, they told me that they still have a few games to ship. They didn't have a number for me, but they said that it wasn't a lot. So, if you haven't received your email and/or your game, you could be one of the few. I really wouldn't worry about it until at least a couple of weeks from now. If you don't have your games in two weeks, we'll happily look into it for you.
Asia
All of your games have shipped. Some countries take longer to get to than others. Some mail systems are significantly slower than others. Please take some time before you let us know if you haven't received your package. It is coming!
Australia/New Zealand
I have confirmed with Aetherworks that your games will be shipping any day now. They have had them at the warehouse for a few days. We are trying to get the two waves of shipping (one wave to AU and the other to NZ) to be as close together as possible. You should be hearing about your games very soon.
USA
I am happy to report that your games have landed and are on a truck on their way to Quartermaster. From what they tell me, they should have them any day now. They are working through the backer reports we have given them, and should be shipping by the beginning of next week. I will report back if I hear any differently.
Canada
You should expect your games to head toward the border at the same time Quartermaster is shipping US games. This will put another couple of weeks onto your shipments. I have mentioned before that Quartermaster and Snakes and Lattes are completely prepared for your games to reach them. This is a good thing.
The No-Payment Icon Fix
To our great chagrin, we’ve discovered a small printing error on four of the Level-5 Building tiles (Treasury, Exchange, Parliament, and Museum). The silver lining is that the error has an exceedingly small impact on the game; it is simply a missing icon to remind you that those buildings can not be Paid during the round. This missing icon will very rarely affect your plays, and it will not affect your plays at all as long as you are aware of this rule:
Buildings with Payment symbols on them may not themselves be the target of a Payment action during the Action phase.
That is all you need to know in order to play 100% of your game. Honestly, you will probably come to realize that you never even needed to know this rule, since the circumstances where you’d need it come up very rarely.
We will make this rule clear in an Errata notice on our websites and on boardgamegeek (bgg). We will fix the misprint in future print runs. Additionally:
We will provide directly to all backers (and make available on our websites and on bgg) a digital file with the “no-payment” icon that you could print out and stick to those four Buildings, if you wish.
We will provide directly to all backers (and make available on our websites and on bgg) a digital file of a “patch” to page 8 of the rulebook which reinforces that “Buildings with Payment symbols on them may not themselves be the target of a Payment action during the Action phase.” You could stick it in to your rulebook as a label or just tuck it in to page 8 if you don’t want to stick anything to the page.
For our amazing kickstarter backers, we know that we owe our success to you. For that reason we of course will provide replacement tiles for any backer who requests them via this email address [email protected]. Please be aware that this will take some time, as we want to wait a short while for replies to gauge how many sets we’ll need to make, and then time to have the tiles printed and then shipped. Also please understand that if all backers choose this option, it will cost us many thousands of dollars out of our small profit margin; we are small companies to whom every dollar really matters! The cost (and carbon footprint) of manufacturing and shipping these replacements around the globe is astronomical, especially considering that simply being aware of the rule (addressing a scenario that will almost never occur) solves the problem. You are absolutely entitled to 100% of the product you pledged for instead of 99.9% of it, so if you feel like you won’t be satisfied with the other solutions, let us know and we will get them to you as soon as we can without any complaint.

Shipping Updates and Other Important Pieces

Ahoy Backers,
It is so amazing watching the world receive their Endeavor: Age of Sail games. HappyShops is almost done with their fulfillment. This is exciting because we are beginning to see Tweets and Insta photos pop up all over the place.
Shipping Update
VFI has also completed shipping your games. You should expect them any day for those who live in China, and a bit longer for those of you with slower postal systems.
Vienna Express is still headed toward Jacksonville, and is still supposed to land on the 13th. I have no doubt that there will be delays for a few days because of the storm. Please be patient everyone, you'll get your games.
Aetherworks is processing AU and NZ, and when they are ready will be shipped as well.
Missing Parts/Defective Components
It is expected that at least 1% of a print run will have missing or defective components. Unfortunately, this is a truth that none of us like to face, especially when it is you that faces it. Luckily, Marc and I have had a lot of success with Bang Wee and we suspect that we will have few minor issues along the way.
That being said, we pride ourselves on component quality. If you find that you have a missing piece, or your pieces are defective, please bring it to our attention. We will ask you for photos (mostly to send back to the manufacturer), and your address so that we can send new components out to you. But since no one in the US has their games yet, either do we. We'll take your info and send your parts out to you ASAP.
Our doughty crew, you made this dream come to life for yourselves and for us. To that we are forever grateful. Now that you've allowed us to take you across the ocean, let us take you through the stars...to Europa!
Grand Gamers Guild, half of the Endeavor: Age of Sail publishing team, launched their next project on Kickstarter today: The Artemis Project.
It is a very different game from Endeavor: Age of Sail--dice (dis)placement, engine building, and set collection--but we hope you check it out.

Fulfillment is Well Underway
If Your Game is Coming From the US
The ship is about to hit the port. I am hearing that it will be on the 13th. But that could change depending on the weather that is about to crush the Eastern Seaboard. They are predicting that Hurricane Florence will hit land somewhere around the Carolinas, so it might just miss this ship's port.
When the games do land, they will head to QuarterMaster, get processed, and head out to you. QuarterMaster will be in possession of your address by the end of today or tomorrow. Canadian backers, I have talked with Chris at QuarterMaster and he assured us that if we have all of our ducks in a row (which we do), your games will go out in a timely manner. Snakes and Lattes is fully aware of what is coming to them.
If Your Game is Coming From Germany
HappyShops has already sent out their preliminary email to check addresses. It seems that they are now sending out emails to confirm shipping today as well. Expect your games very soon.
If Your Game is Coming From China
VFI began shipping games on September 6th. Not all of you would have received a tracking number, but you will be receiving your game in no time.
If Your Game is Coming From Australia
Aetherworks is about to receive your games. They will be shipped out to you within the next couple of weeks during the first wave of shipments. Most Australian backers will get their games right away. A few Australian backers, and all New Zealand backers will get their games in the second wave of shipments. We had planned to have VFI ship them straight from China, but VFI decided to ship them to Aetherworks instead. That added a couple of weeks onto your fulfillment. All being told, you will receive your games by October.
Address Updates
We had locked addresses several months ago already. Please do not email us to ask for a change at this point. Your address cannot be changed anymore. All of your addresses are in to their rightful fulfillment company.
Show It Off
Hey, did you already get your Endeavor: Age of Sail? Show us what you've got! Show it off on social media! Take some photos or even make an unboxing video. When you post it use the hashtag #EndeavorAgeofSail or #Endeavorinmyhands. Don't forget to tag @BurntIslandgm and @GrndGmrsGld when you do! If you want us to share it, we will! Just let us know.
Digital Rulebooks Available
Finally we can say that we've got all (but the French - they are coming) rulebooks (for the main game and for the Exploits) on the EndeavorGame.com website. Click here to get there. Fulfillment and Pre-orders for Essen

It's been about three weeks since our last update. So much has happened since then. Let's dive right into it!
Fulfillment Update
US/Canada
VIENNA EXPRESS / 056E headed to Jacksonville, FL, is still on the open seas. The last time it hit land was on August 20th in Japan. It is due at the port on September 6th. This is very exciting!!
AU/NZ
XIN CHI WAN / 192S landed at the port in Sydney over the last few days. Your games are still at the port waiting to be received, but they have hit land! We expect them to be at the Aetherworks fulfillment centre within the next two weeks. Aetherworks has your backer info, so once the games are picked and packed, they'll be ready to go.
Asia
VFI received your games about a week ago. They have also had your backer information for quite some time. They will be putting your shipments together over the next two weeks and will begin shipping during the week of September 6th. When the games move, we'll let you know.
EU/UK/RoW
THALASSA DOXA 0994-021W is scheduled to land in Germany on September 4th. It will take a week or two to get the games out of customs, from the port, and to the fulfillment centre at HappyShops. They already have your backer info, so they will receive the games, pack them in boxes, and ship them out to you ASAP. We'll update you with that information when it's ready.
Address Updates
We locked down addresses on July 17th. We did this so that we could get everything organized and the process of shipping them around the world is as quick as possible. We are still receiving address change requests. Please keep in mind, the only address changes we'll accept from now until September 2nd will be US or Canadian addresses. All other addresses are locked.
Essen Spiel is approaching. We're hosting the retail release of Endeavor: Age of Sail retail version of the game there. We will not have the Commodore version of the game available during the game fair. We are also not hosting Essen pick-up for backers. However, we will have a limited number of games available in German and in English. If you have a friend who wants the game and is going to be at Essen, send them to https://www.endeavorgame.com/shop for free Essen pick-up.

We come to you from sunny Indianapolis, Indiana, where we have been feverishly preparing our booths for you! We wanted to get you some info on what's been happening and tell you where you can meet us at Gen Con for a glimpse of Endeavor: Age of Sail.
