Manufacturing Update and Address Changes Closing

Ahoy Backers!
Last night we got an email from our manufacturer that pleased us. First of all, take a look at these photos:
Stunning wooden Trade Tokens
The Trade Tokens turned out beautiful, didn't they? But wait, there's more!
The Wooden Blockade
When the manufacturer originally produced the Blockades, the images turned out to be fuzzy. We redesigned the ships and this was the result. Pristine!
That's Not the Only News We've Got
The manufacturer confirmed that your games will be completed on or just before August 10th. This is fantastic news! We have already set up most of our freight. This means that after your games have dried (yes, they put them in a dryer so that the glue doesn't curl the cardboard), they'll be packaged up and sent straight to their ports. This leads to the next order of business...
Locking Address Changes
You have two weeks before we lock down address changes on BackerKit. If you think you might be moving before we deliver in the middle of September and know your new address, please go back to your BackerKit and change it there. If you know you are moving and are unsure of your address, please have the game delivered to someone who you trust. It is the only way of getting the game to you safely without incurring extra costs to you. We will be locking down addresses on July 17th so that we can prepare our backer lists for our fulfillment partners.
Endeavor: Age of Sail at Conventions
Backers, we plan on having Endeavor: Age of Sail at Gen Con (for playing purposes only - see Grand Gaming Academy, Kids Table Board Gaming booth (1805), and the Grand Gamers Guild (1807) booths for an up-close look and to play), Essen for play and for sale, and Pax Unplugged for play and for sale as well. If you don't get a chance to sign up for the Gen Con plays with Grand Gaming Academy, please make sure you stop by our booths to take a closer look at the game.
As many of you know, Burnt Island Games has a sibling company called KTBG, which specializes in games that can be played by gamers and families alike. Just a few things today to update you on Endeavor: Age of Sail!
EAoS at Origins
Between Burnt Island Games and Grand Gamers Guild, never have we ever created so much buzz about a game. People were drooling over it at the GGG booth, and loving the gameplay at Grand Gaming Academy tables. We had the minis and Game Trayz on display and received amazing compliments from everyone who stopped by. If you were one of those people, thanks so much for coming over to have a look.

BackerKit Update
Many of you have been asking if there is still a chance to get your hands on another Commodore. Technically, the Commodore is closed, but a handful of people have canceled their Commodore orders. So, when we begin sending the games to their various fulfillment warehouses, we'll know how many we have left to share with you (the number will be very limited). We'll open this up to you (backers only) in late July. However, you will not be able to switch your pledge from the Captain to the Commodore.
Also, this Thursday is your last day to add-on games. We will be closing the Backerkit to Captains. So, if you were planning on adding another game, please do so before Thursday June 21 at 11:59 pm EST.
Address Changes
You will still have until some time in July (we will let you know soon) to change your address. If you know that you will be moving after that but do not have an address, you might want to find a friend to ship your game to, so that it doesn't get lost.

Exploits Print & Play

Ahoy loyal crew!
As you may remember, the $10 Lieutenant level was always intended to be available to Backers who owned the original Endeavor but didn't want to take the plunge on the new edition. A short while ago we made the pnp available to those Backers.
Shortly after making these available, we began to receive inquiries from Backers at higher levels asking for access to the pnp.
Never let it be said that we Captains are unresponsive to our crew. To that end, we have made the pnp Exploits available to everyone, via BackerKit.
To be clear: You are still getting physical components of the Exploits in your manufactured games. Access to the pnp Exploits doesn’t change that.
Finally, we ask in good faith, THESE ARE FOR BACKERS ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE LINK WITH ANYONE.
Also, we are thrilled to report that we have received the updated tray samples, and they are impeccable. They are everything that we all hoped for. As such, we have given the go-ahead for mass production of the trays. It’s exciting times!

The design of the trays is spectacular. Noah from Game Trayz did a fantastic job designing them. And these trays that you see above are stunning. But the physical samples we received by air had for some reason deformed during transit and are not up to the level of quality we expect for you. Our manufacturer is sending us another set to see if the same thing will happen again. If it does, we'll work to figure out what the problem is and make sure it doesn't happen for the full run.
What does this mean for the game? What does it mean for you?
We will settle for nothing less than perfect for Endeavor: Age of Sail. The game deserves it; you deserve it! Our manufacturer has been incredible about this (the reason we chose them in the first place is their customer service, their attention to detail, and their overall quality). They have promised us that we will work this out ASAP.
The bottom line is that this might set us back some time. But I can tell you that it is better for all of us that time is set back than it would be to have a less-than-perfect game. Now, since manufacturing has already begun on all other components, it shouldn't be too big a setback. We will, of course, keep you updated when we hear anything new all the way through this voyage.
Digital Exploit Files
If you were a Digital Exploits backer, you'll be receiving your files today. The email will come from Grand Gamers Guild's BackerKit, just as the surveys did. Please be sure to check your Junk folders, as sometimes BackerKit emails go directly there.

Endeavor: Age of Sail at Origins Game Fair
Backers interested in checking out Endeavor: Age of Sail in real life can come see it, and maybe get a play in, at the Grand Gamers Guildbooth number 335. Both GGG and Burnt Island Games will have representation at Origins, but only GGG will have a booth.

We are here to tell you that we got most of our production sample in the mail today!! And are we ever excited to show you these photos. It was really hard to choose from the 65 photos I took. So, without further ado ...

What's Next
When I said we had most of the game shipped to us, I really meant it. The minis and the Game Trayz will ship next week. But as for this shipment, we are thrilled with the way the components have turned out.
With this momentum, we'll be manufacturing by the end of next week (when we'll update you again).
I will leave you with two more photos. The original Endeavor is pictured on the right. Notice how much this game has been played in our home, that the box is falling apart. And what do you do when you love a game so much that it begins to fall apart? You publish a brand new version of it!! We can't wait for you to fall in love with this game the way we did!
